The Practice

Entrepreneurs, early-stage investors and start-up businesses seeking sophisticated and attentive legal counsel finally have viable options outside of large corporate law firms.  Mr. Green combines years of training within a large national law firm and subsequent experience as the sole in-house counsel to a highly-successful technology company with over 12 years of representing innovative entrepreneurs and investors as a sole practitioner to deliver real value to his clients.  The practice is extremely bottom-line oriented in approach, with a focus on achieving desired goals in a timely and cost-effective manner.  Mr. Green typically serves as a strategic advisor and quasi in-house counsel to most of his clients, representing businesses from the initial structuring of the founder equity arrangements through eventual exit.

Over the past 10 years, Mr. Green has represented hundreds of technology, software, manufacturing, retail and service businesses across a wide spectrum of transactional matters.  Mr. Green regularly sits across from partners at some of the largest and most prestigious law firms in Silicon Valley, New York and other business centers within the United States in negotiating investment, M&A, credit facility, joint venture, licensing, leasing and other transactions.

Mr. Green serves as an adjunct professor at the Northwestern University School of Law in Chicago teaching an upper-level venture capital class to law students and JDMBAs.  In addition, Mr. Green is a regular guest lecturer at other law schools in the Chicago area, and frequently moderates and/or sits on venture capital, entrepreneurial and/or general corporate law panels throughout the Midwest.
